The SALTIGA DOGFIGHT Rods are engineered to tame jumbo and cow tuna into submission with power, precision, and durability. Designed using Daiwa’s proprietary EXPERT SENSE SIMULATION (ESS) technology, these rods were systematically tested and analyzed for maximized energy flow and intuitive angler feel. This process determines the optimal positioning for where and how the rod applies pressure and strength with precise calculation to let anglers apply maximum pressure without overwhelming the fisherman behind the reel.

Built with HVF graphite, the rod features dense graphite that efficiently transfers energy for maximum casting distance and pulling power while remaining lighter than expected. New X 45 X FULLSHIELD construction Increases responsiveness and provides faster recovery speed while also reinforcing the blank and improving casting accuracy. When it comes to casting, the SALTIGA DOGFIGHT features a FUJI RV stripper guide that enables excellent line release with heavy braid-leader connections.

Anglers will note the rods come in two pieces. The upper full rod with guides and the lower handle section fit together with ample security using Daiwa’s new V-JOINT ALPHA. This new version of V-JOINT incorporates Nanoplus technology to make the connection more fluid, lighter, and stronger.
