Mag Sealed

In order to increase the durability of the reel, Daiwa had to make the waterproof structure an absolute priority. A new waterproofing system was born by a completely new way of thinking. “Mag Seal” is a membrane of magnetic oil, which shuts out saltwater.

By using magnetized oil in conjunction with magnets a seal is created. Since it is a non-point of contact system you can feel the light smooth rotation and long-term maintenance of the rotation performance is possible. We call it “Mag Seal”. You’ll call it magic and a transformation to long lasting, smooth rotary efficiency.
