After 12hrs, in questionable seas...incorrect wind forecasts, 35km's off Darwins coast and almost coming back to the boat ramp early. I caught this amazing speciman of a sail fish just after sunrise. Needless to say, it made the 12 hours of no sleep and "light breeze" that was more like a wind storm worthwhile. Even more worthwhile was letting him live another day, to maybe be someone else catch. The sailfish was caught on a Daiwa Shinobi 4000 spin combo 7ft 6-10kg that was bought for $150 with 15lb braid.
